Spotlight Creative, leading marketing and communications agency to corporate and sponsorship industries, is officially certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB). Certification was granted by the City of Houston for Marketing and Communications Services.
WBE/HUB certification is one of the most widely-recognized and respected certifications in the nation. The process is extensive, but worthwhile once completed.
Becoming WBE/HUB certified opens the door to numerous business opportunities. Spotlight Creative is now eligible for work with clients in the private sector as well as local and federal government agencies on projects requiring participation by a WBE/HUB. Spotlight Creative plans to provide top-notch communications solutions to all of these new clients.
Spotlight Creative Principal, Kim Abey, says, “We are honored to be a part of this program and among a list of distinguished women-owned companies. We look forward to bringing our talent to future projects.”
WBE (Women's Business Enterprise) is an independent business concern that is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens or Legal Resident Aliens; whose business formation and principal place of business are in the US or its territories; and whose management and daily operation is controlled by one or more of the women owners.
The goal of the State of Texas' HUB program is to increase procurement opportunities for minority and woman-owned businesses. The program includes components designed to increase awareness, provide education, and encourage participation by actively working with both agency staff and the vendor community.
